Java Project Grading Policy: The project is scored out of 100 points. The points are allocated among 3 main catagories: 30 - Functionality (grading was automated). 55 - Design of code (manually graded). 15 - Javadocs (manually graded). Note: A Functionality score of zero generally means either: 1) the tar file animalHier.tar was corrupted, or 2) the java files would not compile on remus. The raw score is then adjusted, if necessary, for lateness. - Late or resubmitted javadocs carry a penalty of 5% off the raw score. - Late code carries the standard penalty of 20% off per day. If both of the above apply, then the penalties are combined. For example, if a project received a raw score of 93 out of 100, but the javadocs were resubmitted, and the code was submitted 1 day late, then the lateness penalty will be 25% off, for a final score of 93 * .75. Grades are contingent on our academic honesty checks.
