April 22, 2004: Please download the Types lecture again as I have reorganized the slides; the new ones were posted at 11:15am today.
April 22, 2004: Check on the lecture page (under April 21 lecture) for some new postings: (i) add.pl and (ii) a discussion of the nqueens.pl program.
April 20, 2004: Prof Ryder's office hours on Weds, April 21st will start at 4:00pm. Class on Friday, April 23rd, will run until 5:30pm as a makeup class for class on Friday, April 30th which is cancelled. Refreshments will be provided this Friday for our long class.
March 26, 2004: Prof Ryder's office hours on Weds, March 31, 2004 are cancelled. She will stay after class for an hour on Friday, April 2, 2004 instead. Detlef's hours will be held as usual.
March 25, 2004: Here is a note about casting from TA Tom Walsh that should help you a bit with understanding the sort of operations needed for the C projet.
March 11, 2004: A histogram of our lecture's midterm grades are now available; your individual grades are available through the WebCT system online. The tests themselves will be turned back to you after spring break.
The C programming project has been posted; we will discuss it in class tomorrow. Also, non-programming homework on C has been posted, due after spring break.
February 25, 2004:Prof DeCarlo will be at the ARC lab next Monday night; consult his lecture's webpage for the hours.
Prof Ryder's office hours next week will be moved to Monday, March 1st from 3:30-5:30pm. Detlef's office hours next week will be moved to Thursday, March 4th from 3:00-5:00pm.
February 22, 2004:If you have questions on the homeworks or assignments, please address your emails to both Prof Ryder and your TA Detlef Ronneburger, so whoever reads the email first can answer you quickly. Remember to include "314" in the subject line of your message, please.
February 11, 2004: Recitation on Weds will start at 11:30am from this week onward in the term.
