How to calculate your numeric grade
- homeworks (10% of grade): 100% if you turned in all 3, 67% if you
turned in 2, 34% in you turned in 1.
- midterm (25%)
- final (35%)
- Each programming assignment is worth 10%
Grade cutoffs. Note, there is no curve but instead I adjusted some of the
standard cutoffs.
- A >90
- 90 >= B+ > 80
- 80 >= B > 72.5
- 72.5 >= C+ > 70 (Note, there were 5 grades in this range)
- 70 >= C > 60
- 60 >= D > 50
- 50 >= F

- March 16, 2008: Exam Scores posted on sakai. There is no
curve on the exam but an overall class curve will be applied as necessary
(with a minimum number of points needed to pass). To interpret your score
you can use the median of 66 as an estimate of average on the exam. For
more details consult
the graph of all class scores (rank 36 is the best) and
a graph of score ranges.
